Understanding Wonderwheel Control Logic

※During setup, all you need to do is plug the CGRC CAN into one of two module interfaces: either the 4-pin port for the RDC module, which handles tire pressure monitoring, or the 8-pin port for the DWA module, which is the bike's anti-theft alarm system. While our online guides recommend certain purchases, they are suggestions for reference only. If upon inspecting your BMW, you find that a DWA or RDC module would allow for easier installation, feel free to purchase the appropriate pin connectors based on your specific bike's fitment.

The user's manual ain't not really detailled about installation but the cgrc works very well. Nevertheless when you Scroll in the menu you have to quit carplay /Android otherwise you set your bmw menu and your chigee simultaneously

It works, but there is a little issue because it works with the TFT screen at the same time.

For example, when you turn the wonder wheel up, your volume turns on max; the opposite side mutes the sound.

So, we must be patient to use this module.

I replaced my Garmin VI with the 5. I'm able to do more and get more with this system than I ever got from my Garmin. Great looking screen. I do need to practice with it more because I tend to hit my wheel by accident causing a menu to open.

Great piece of kit!

I am a total novice when it comes to ripping apart a bike to install anything and usually let my local shop do the work. In this case I decided to try it myself. Took some time and a bunch of you tube videos to dismantle a few things, but in the end everything worked out. I have a 19 1250GS, and I ported over my old Nav 5. The Garmin did the job, but it was slow, and felt outdated. I purchased the Chigee for the Apple car play and wanted to use google maps, and Apple maps. Did not really care about the camera features, but after install, I am really happy that I now have front and rear camera recording. The car play features work seamlessly. I also installed the control mod for the wonder wheel, and it works well to control the entire setup. Its been over a year since I installed, and I wanted to wait to write my review in case the setup fell apart. Happy to report, it just works. Much much better than the old Nav setup. All the wires are hidden, and looks like a part of the bike. Wish I had also purchased the PSI mods for the tyres, but I will grab those another time. Great product. Take your time doing the install, and you wont regret your purchase.

Nice addition to the bike

Recently got a BMW specific AIO unit from Chigee and discovered I needed this for the wonder wheel to work. Took me a couple tries to finally locate the connector, but once located install was easy enough. In general the wonder wheel implementation seems to be ok. Seems to be a bit limited in what it can do with the AIO unit and I occasionally have to resort to touch screen. It also seemed to introduce some weird anamolies with the AIO unit - for example, one time the unit turned on as if it had never been setup, asking for language, time zone, etc. It eventually corrected itself though.

Die Installation war problemlos und hat gut funktioniert. Nur kommt mir das ganze ein wenig kompliziert in der Handhabung vor. Um ein Lied auf Spotify zu starten muss man oft drücken und bestätigen bis man dann etwas hört. Wünsche würde ich mir noch das man die Lautstärke kontrollieren kann.

Not compatible with Cansmart

I use a Denali can smart with my DRLs and this unit confuses the Denali unit. It’s also not very clear when selecting on screen while riding! Jog wheel can not be rotated just left and right motion with indicator push to click actions! Using it turns off my DRLs. Needs more work.
