AIO-6 Series for BMW Bundle Quick Start Guide

Everything you need to check before choosing and installing your AIO-6 BMW Bundle.

1. What Is Included?

Each bundle includes:

Your selected AIO-6 display: AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE
BMW Quick-Release Module
Screws required for assembly

The display and BMW Quick-Release Module arrive in separate packages. A simple one-time assembly is required before the display can be installed in your compatible BMW navigation cradle.

Front and rear cameras, a microSD card, CGRC CAN, and model-specific extension brackets are not included unless selected or purchased separately.

2. Check Your BMW Compatibility

The BMW Quick-Release Module is designed for:

BMW Nav Prep 5/6
BMW ConnectedRide Electric Keyless Mount

Older BMW navigation cradles with buttons on the front are not supported.

Compatibility depends on the motorcycle’s actual navigation cradle, model year, regional configuration, and factory options—not only the model name. Wonder Wheel control and available BMW riding data may also vary between motorcycles.

RT and K1600 owners must review the compatibility information carefully. Some R1200RT and R1250RT models require a separately sold extension bracket, while many K1600 installations are not compatible with this BMW Quick-Release Bundle.

3. Choose AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE

Both models provide the same core riding experience, including:

6-inch ultra-bright display
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Built-in GPS and lean-angle sensing
BMW Quick-Release Module support
Optional front and rear cameras

AIO-6 Max

Best for riders who want navigation, media, BMW integration, riding data, and optional dashcam functions without 4G service.

AIO-6 LTE

Adds 4G-connected features such as remote location tracking, geofencing, security alerts, and remote camera viewing when the required cameras, mobile service, and power connection are available.

Choose carefully before ordering. AIO-6 Max does not contain LTE hardware and cannot be upgraded to AIO-6 LTE later.

4. Installation and Power

Attach the BMW Quick-Release Module to the back of the AIO-6 using the supplied screws. Once assembled, the display can be inserted into a compatible BMW navigation cradle and secured using the cradle’s original locking mechanism.

For a display-only setup, the BMW cradle normally provides ignition-controlled power, so no additional display power wiring is required.

Additional battery and ACC wiring is required when you want features to remain active after the motorcycle is switched off, including:

Parking Monitor
Parked-bike LTE tracking and security alerts
Remote camera viewing while parked

The AIO-6 does not contain an internal battery.

5. BMW Controls and Riding Data

On supported BMW configurations, the AIO-6 may provide:

Wonder Wheel control
Speed and engine RPM
Engine temperature
Battery voltage
Factory tire-pressure data
Other available riding information

The AIO-6 can display only the information transmitted by the motorcycle. Available controls and data vary by model, model year, navigation system, and factory configuration. SA 272 activation or the separately sold CGRC CAN may be required for Wonder Wheel control on some motorcycles.

Both AIO-6 Max and LTE also include their own GPS and lean-angle sensor, so route and lean-angle information does not rely entirely on BMW vehicle data.

6. Optional Cameras and microSD Card

The front and rear AIO-6 cameras are optional and can be added during purchase or installed later.

Adding the camera kit enables:

Parking Monitor with the required power connection

A compatible microSD card is required for video recording but is not required for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Use a reputable U3, A2, or V30 high-endurance microSD card with a capacity of up to 256GB.

SD Card Requirement for Chigee Display AIO-6

Please note that the Chigee Display AIO-6 does not include an SD card. You will need to purchase one separately, and an SD card is required for OTA firmware updates.

If you do not plan to use cameras:
A small-capacity card (8–16GB) is sufficient for OTA updates.
If you also use cameras:
Choose a larger-capacity card according to your recording needs.

SD Card Compatibility and Recording Time for Chigee Dashcams

⚠️ Important: Even for OTA updates, we strongly recommend using a U3-grade SD card. Low-quality or slower cards may cause upgrade failures or trigger “insufficient read/write speed” warnings.

Is this a single pre-assembled product?

No. The bundle contains an AIO‑6 Max and a BMW Quick‑Release Module as two separate components. You attach the module to the back of the display once using the included hardware and tool.

Do I need to wire the display to the BMW?

Not for a display-only installation on a compatible powered BMW cradle. The cradle supplies power to AIO‑6 Max. If you add the optional CHIGEE camera system, the camera installation requires a separate hardwired connection.

Is the BMW ConnectedRide app available inside CarPlay or Android Auto?

The BMW ConnectedRide app cannot be mirrored as a CarPlay or Android Auto app. You can continue using it on your phone or with the BMW TFT where supported, while using compatible navigation and media apps through AIO‑6 Max.

Does it work with BMW RT models?

Certain RT installations require additional hardware. R 1200 RT models from 2014–2017 and the 2020 R 1250 RT require the CHIGEE RT extension bracket. Check the dedicated RT guide before purchasing.

Does it fit a BMW K 1600?

K 1600 motorcycles with the integrated navigation cradle are not supported by this quick-release bundle because of available clearance. Newer BMW motorcycles with the 10.25-inch TFT use a different installation approach; verify the dedicated compatibility guidance for those models.

Should I choose this AIO-6 bundle or AIO‑5 Play for BMW?

Choose this AIO‑6 bundle if you want the larger 6-inch display and the option to add CHIGEE front and rear cameras. Choose AIO‑5 Play for BMW if you prefer a smaller, display-only solution with no separate quick-release module installation.

Will it auto-connect to CarPlay/Android Auto upon startup?

CHIGEE can remember previously connected mobile devices. Once you've activated and connected your phone for the first time, CHIGEE will automatically attempt to search for your phone's CarPlay or Android Auto upon startup (assuming your phone's Bluetooth & WIFI is enabled).

Which navigation app can be used?

We have thoroughly tested the CHIGEE with both the Google Play Store and App Store, ensuring compatibility with the most popular and widely-used navigation apps. To confirm, you can check the list of the top ten tested navigation apps on this page.

CHIGEE works by mirroring mobile apps through CarPlay or Android Auto. In theory, any navigation software that supports CarPlay or Android Auto should be fully compatible with the CHIGEE.

Can I Use Offline Maps?

When mirroring your phone's map to the CHIGEE, no data network is required if offline maps are loaded on your phone. Simply ensure your map app supports CarPlay or Android Auto. The GPS signal always comes from your phone, regardless of whether you're using online or offline maps, and is independent of the CHIGEE device's GPS.

Can I install apps directly on the AIO‑6?

No, CHIGEE does not have built-in APP. It operates by mirroring your phone's content to CHIGEE Display using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, primarily through CarPlay or Android Auto. In theory, if your phone's APP supports CarPlay or Android Auto, you can use that app on device.

Does it support my Bluetooth Headset?

CHIGEE does not establish a direct Bluetooth connection to motorcycle headset devices. Instead, it operates by having the Bluetooth headset pair with your smartphone first. Your smartphone then transmits the audio to the CHIGEE.
The CHIGEE is compatible with all Bluetooth headsets, as long as the headset can successfully connect to your smartphone. However, please note that the CHIGEE supports the simultaneous connection of only one headset at a time.

Which languages are supported?

The following languages are currently supported: English, Spanish, French, German, Swedish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Malay, Korean, Thai and Danish, Finnish, Russian, Portuguese.

Which phones are compatible with CHIGEE?

App interface needs serious improvements

App interface needs serious improvements. First time startup, my live camera feed works. After that it goes dark. I now have to adjust my camera based on recorded footage. I have to connect to the app to connect to the hotspot... to connect to the app. I tried deleting app and reinstalling, that didn't work. It made me have to open up my bike seat just to press a button to confirm my account. Formatting the SD card required me to open up my seat to confirm the format on the device. If this product was not international, I would return

Worth every penny!!!!

I put this on my Ducati 698 Mono RVE and it fits perfect! Plugged right into the USB port on the bike. It pairs effortlessly to my phone and have had no issues with it what so ever. I bought this for a trip up to the Tail Of The Dragon and really looking forward to having GPS right in front of me. The screen works great touch screen wise even with gloves on. I honestly can’t think of a single flaw yet at all. I can’t recommend this upgrade enough!

Best Upgrade from previous RC.

Its a super upgrade as compared to the older version when you click and click with no response or not sure what it will do. With this alone, its straight forward with the joystick. The only pain point is the limited installation placement as its only can be installed in one way. Luckily am able to squeeze through the gap between my controls and the grip. As am using Grip puppies, there's no way you can install over it.
