This hardware lets you mount your CG-2 Mobile Phone Holder to any sport-bike with clip-on handlebars that may be too tight on space, as it utilizes the triple clamp mount at the center of your bike's cockpit.
I prepared the area according to their instructions with the alcohol and when I put it on, it was left with horrible air bubbles. I removed it to see if I could put it better and even then it never came out right. I lost my money...
This is a high quality product. Connects to phone within seconds every time. Nice display. Dead easy connection. Integration with BMW whizzy wheel is spot on. Display is plenty big enough.
I gave it 4 stars because you cannot do this with any other device but it could be a lot better.
Pro:
- it works. I have a BMW R1250 R from 2021 and it worked after the software update(see Con's :P).Before the software update it was seeing data like gear I am in or engine RPM for my case. It was not seen from the BMW TFT though as navigation
- since the control happens through wonder wheel the ergonomics is better than any other remote :)
- i chose this over the CAN module not only because i did not have the alarm/tpms modules on the motorcycle but the control is separate from the TFT. You can switch between the TFT and the Aio 5 as you would with the original equipment
Con:
- Doing the update for the motorcycle was a bit of an adventure. Make sure you have this already inserted in the motorcycle nav port. On the newer versions of ISTA you can only update everything or nothing and if it does not see anything connected there it will not update the navigation. The dealership was helpful on that regard for my case.
- I had a USB-A charger on the navigation port as it supports up to 10A. This ocupies the port and does not offer anything. It could have itself a USB port or at least a port for the Aio 5. As is i made a split for the cables and cut the cable for the Aio 5 the LIN module and the USB charger but it could have been alot better with LIN already having these ports
- the control does not really take commands as it should. Sometimes(not often) it goes back instead of forward for some reason. The BMW wheel works perfect with the TFT btw.
- this one is more for android itself it think(not sure). It is not intuitive to use the menu on the android with the wheel. I am not sure because it seems a bit better on my car that has the iDrive wheel but for this one it is sometimes frustrating to get out and in of certain menu's. Like going from the zoom to the bottom play/pause works but going back to the zoom is hard. Will have to test more to see for this issue.
- There seem to be no firmware update possible and that is a bit scary(future BMW updates could render this useless).
- as expensive as it is again i think it should have had the ports for the Aio 5 and USB in it.
the experience was very good. All items arrived ok

It looks like it has the right proportions, it takes care of the dazzling sun.
Fits great as well.
I like that!!
Love the plug & play ease of the AIO-5 Play w/ BMW. Was able to get it up and running quickly. The touchscreen works really well and control via wonder wheel is great. There are two things I'd like to see improved. First, I wear a high-viz vest and when I ride into the sun, the mirror like screen on the Chigee reflects it back, making it nearly impossible to see the screen. This can't be fixed by a sun shade because the light is coming off me--not the sun. The native BMW screen does not have this issue. It's possible an anti-glare screen protector would help. The second issue is that--for me--the 5" screen is smaller than I'd like. It's just a little hard to read, when using the touch screen, the icons are pretty close together, etc. Many other products from iPhones to Chigee's competitors offer larger screens. The moment I got it on the bike, my first thought was "this is great." My second thought was "the screen is too small." At a 5" size, it already looks dated. A 6" would be a significant improvement, though I think they've concluded they can't fit that size in the cradle, but am convinced they'll come up with a creative solution in time.
The product is exactly what I was looking for, ease of use.
Very good
