The AIO-6 Series for BMW Bundle brings a larger 6-inch CHIGEE riding display to the navigation position already built into compatible BMW motorcycles.
Both bundle options use the same BMW Quick-Release Module. The host unit is what changes:
- Choose AIO-6 Max for the complete on-bike display experience without 4G service.
- Choose AIO-6 LTE if you also want mobile-data features such as remote location tracking, geofencing, security alerts and—when cameras are installed—remote live view.
This pre-purchase guide covers only the BMW Quick-Release Bundle. It explains what arrives, which BMW cradles work, how Max and LTE differ, and which optional components you may need.
1. What Is the AIO-6 Series for BMW Bundle?
Each BMW Bundle combines two products in one easier purchase:
- Your selected AIO-6 host unit — AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE
- BMW Quick-Release Module
After one-time assembly, the display docks into a compatible BMW navigation cradle, receives ignition-controlled power from the cradle and uses the BMW cradle's existing lock and release mechanism.
Important: it does not arrive as one pre-assembled product
You will receive the AIO-6 host and BMW Quick-Release Module in separate product packages. The module must be attached to the back of the display with the supplied screws before first use.
The bundle does not include front and rear cameras, a microSD card, CGRC CAN or model-specific extension brackets unless they are selected or purchased separately.
2. Choose Your Host Unit: AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE
The two host units share the same core riding experience. LTE is not a faster or brighter display; its deciding advantage is direct 4G connectivity.

Choose before ordering: AIO-6 Max does not contain LTE SIM hardware and cannot be upgraded into an AIO-6 LTE later.
Built-in ride data versus LTE tracking
Both host units have built-in GPS and motion sensing for local riding information, including route and lean-angle data. Ride records can be viewed on the AIO-6 and reviewed through supported CHIGEE GO functions after synchronization.
AIO-6 LTE adds a separate benefit: live, internet-connected location and security functions through 4G. AIO-6 Max does not gain those remote functions simply by connecting it to a phone.
3. Check Your BMW Navigation Cradle First
Compatibility is determined by the cradle installed on the motorcycle—not by the BMW model name alone.
Supported cradle types
BMW Nav Prep 5/6
Also known as the BMW Navigator V/VI mount. Look for a key-operated lock and a clean front bezel without buttons.
BMW ConnectedRide Electric Keyless Mount
The newer BMW mount uses an electric or motor-driven locking mechanism and appears on selected recent motorcycles. Keep the AIO-6 firmware updated for the latest BMW communication support.
Not supported
Older BMW navigation cradles with buttons on the front bezel are not compatible.

4. BMW Models That Need Special Attention
R1200RT and R1250RT
R1200RT 2014–2017 and R1250RT 2020 require the separately sold R1200/R1250 RT Extension Bracket. The larger AIO-6 does not have sufficient clearance in the original position without it.
BMW K1600 with integrated navigation cradle
The AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module is not compatible with the older integrated K1600 cradle area because there is not enough safe clearance around the 6-inch display.
BMW K1600 2022+ with 10.25-inch TFT
These motorcycles use a different installation path: an AIO-6 host with a BMW TFT adapter and standard/CG mounting hardware. The BMW Quick-Release Bundle described in this guide is designed for a compatible BMW navigation cradle and is not the correct bundle for the 10.25-inch TFT setup.
5. Understand BMW Power Before Choosing Cameras or LTE
The AIO-6 has no internal battery. When used as a display-only BMW setup, both Max and LTE receive power directly from the compatible BMW navigation cradle and normally require no additional display power wiring.
The wiring decision changes when you want cameras or parked-bike LTE functions.

BMW cradle power normally shuts down after the ignition is switched off. A host cannot wake itself for parked monitoring if it has no continuing power source.
The practical buying rule
- Max + no cameras: the BMW Bundle is normally all you need for display power.
- Max + cameras: add battery-and-ACC wiring only if you want Parking Monitor.
- LTE for riding only: cradle power can support the unit while the BMW is on.
- LTE for security while parked: plan for battery-and-ACC wiring.

6. What BMW Integration Can Provide
BMW Wonder Wheel control
On supported motorcycles, the Wonder Wheel can navigate CHIGEE pages and supported controls without repeatedly reaching for the touchscreen.
Wonder Wheel operation depends on model year and factory configuration. BMW Preparation for Navigation System (SA 272) may need to be activated. Some motorcycles also require the separately sold CGRC CAN.
CGRC CAN adds Wonder Wheel control; it does not create BMW vehicle data that the motorcycle does not transmit.
Native BMW vehicle data
On compatible motorcycles, available data can pass through the BMW navigation system to the AIO-6. Depending on the BMW, this may include:
- Speed
- Engine RPM
- Engine temperature
- Factory tire pressure
- Battery voltage
- Other available riding information
The AIO-6 can display only the information transmitted by the motorcycle. Two BMWs of the same general model family may provide different data because of year, market or factory configuration. Partial data does not necessarily indicate a fault with the display.
Built-in lean angle and GPS data
AIO-6 Max and LTE include their own GPS and motion sensing. CHIGEE can therefore provide route, speed and lean-angle information even when the BMW does not transmit an equivalent lean-angle data point.
When the optional AIO-6 cameras are installed, supported built-in data can be overlaid on dashcam footage. Additional BMW data can also be used when the motorcycle makes those data points available to the AIO-6.
Factory BMW TPMS
If your BMW has factory TPMS and transmits tire-pressure data through the supported navigation system, the AIO-6 can display it. If the BMW does not transmit that data—or does not have factory TPMS—the BMW cradle cannot supply it.
7. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on Your BMW
CarPlay and Android Auto work the same way on AIO-6 Max and AIO-6 LTE.
After the first pairing, the AIO-6 can automatically reconnect to the previously paired phone when the BMW powers the navigation cradle. Your phone can remain stored while compatible navigation, music, calling and messaging functions appear on the 6-inch display.
Common uses include:
- Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze and compatible motorcycle route apps
- Turn-by-turn guidance, live traffic and alternative routes
- Offline maps downloaded to a compatible phone app before departure
- Spotify, Apple Music, podcasts and audiobooks
- Calls, supported messages and voice-assistant functions
- Supported CarPlay or Android Auto dashboard/split-screen layouts
The AIO-6 does not install standalone navigation apps. Maps and supported apps run on the connected phone through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. App availability varies by platform, region and subscription.
The BMW Motorrad Connected app is not currently a CarPlay or Android Auto app, so it cannot be projected directly onto the AIO-6. BMW TFT and headset connections may still be retained with the correct phone/headset configuration.
10. Add the Optional AIO-6 Camera Kit Now or Later
Both AIO-6 Max and AIO-6 LTE support the same dedicated AIO-6 front and rear camera system. The camera kit is optional and is not included in the standard BMW Bundle.
Adding the cameras unlocks:
- Front and rear ride recording
- 1080p HDR video at up to 60FPS
- Loop recording
- Collision-protected clips
- Blind Spot Detection alerts
- Parking Monitor with the required power connection
- Dynamic data overlays on supported footage
On AIO-6 LTE, cameras also enable remote live view when 4G service and the required parked-bike power wiring are available.
11. Do You Need a microSD Card?
A microSD card is not included in the BMW Bundle.
Purchase one if you plan to:
- Record video with the optional AIO-6 cameras
- Install firmware by microSD card when required
- Store and protect riding footage
Use a reputable high-endurance card with U3 / A2 / V30-class performance. AIO-6 supports capacities up to 256GB. Format the card in the AIO-6 before recording.
CarPlay and Android Auto do not require a microSD card.

14. Frequently Asked Questions
Does the BMW Bundle arrive fully assembled?
No. The AIO-6 host and BMW Quick-Release Module are supplied as separately packaged products. Attach the module to the rear of the host before first use.
Is AIO-6 LTE simply a Max with a software upgrade?
No. LTE contains dedicated 4G hardware. AIO-6 Max cannot be converted into LTE through firmware or a later subscription.
Do I need extra wiring for a display-only setup?
Normally, no. A compatible BMW cradle powers both Max and LTE while the motorcycle supplies cradle power.
Why would an LTE bundle need additional wiring?
BMW cradle power turns off after ignition-off. Remote wake-up, parked security alerts, Parking Monitor and remote camera access require battery + ACC wiring so the system can operate when the motorcycle is parked.
Will the Wonder Wheel work on every compatible BMW?
No. Wonder Wheel support also depends on model year, factory configuration and SA 272 activation. Some motorcycles require CGRC CAN.
Will every compatible BMW show all vehicle data?
No. The display can show only data that the motorcycle transmits through the supported navigation system. Some BMWs provide full data, some partial data and some no native data.
Can AIO-6 show lean angle if my BMW does not provide it?
Yes. Both Max and LTE have built-in motion sensing for CHIGEE lean-angle information, independent of a BMW-supplied lean-angle signal.
Does AIO-6 have built-in GPS?
Yes. Both host units have built-in GPS for CHIGEE ride data and route-related functions. Navigation apps and maps still come from the connected phone through CarPlay or Android Auto.
Is a microSD card included?
